Treasurers Report

This is my first report as treasurer for the Oakleigh Dragons.

Our club continues to go from strength to strength and this is due to the hard work, effort and dedication that comes from all the individuals that help make this a great “Community club”. Season 2015 has been successful on and off the field for the twelve teams who played.

2015 has seen our club invest in new jumpers, footballs and other important match day equipment. We were also successful in obtaining a state government grant for a new set of jumpers!

Thank- you to all of our club sponsors, Pat Heverin has again done a great job of engaging sponsors for our club – thanks Pat. Anna Goodwill has been a great support with club registrations, thanks Anna.

Again as in previous seasons, our club receives great revenue from the club’s two canteens at Scammell and Princes Hwy. A big thanks to Kathy Daniels for her support in stocking and setting up the canteen at both venues, as well as all the helpers and support we receive in the canteen during the season. As in previous years we have run the Scammell canteen in conjunction with the Oakleigh Krushers and together, our two clubs continue to support each other.

In the club’s fiftieth year, we find ourselves in a strong financial position with reserves of funds banked, and with a dedicated committee on board . To ensure the strength of the club continues and prospers, it’s important that we have volunteers supporting the committee in its various roles. Please consider volunteering for the committee and help continue the growth of the club, it’s a great opportunity to get involved in a activity that supports your kids to play a game they love.

A financial report will be provided at the AGM on 20th October 2015.

Enjoy the summer break and see you in 2016.
